Consultix was established in 1986 by Dr. Tim Maher to provide consulting and training services for UNIX Systems and their associated family of programming languages.

Dr. Maher has worked as:

a University of Utah Asst. Professor of Computer Science
an AT&T UNIX Course Developer & Instructor
a U.C. Berkeley Senior Systems Analyst
a Lecturer on Experimental Design, Research Methods, and Statistics at Central Washington University and Seattle University
a Lecturer on Physiological Psychology and Psychopharmacology at Seattle University

As the CEO of Consultix, Dr. Tim Maher heads a group of highly qualified computer specialists whose complementary skills satisfy a wide range of client needs.

Pacific Software Gurus, Inc. is a corporation formed in Washington state in 1998 as the successor to the sole proprietorship called Consultix, registered in California in 1986 (and later in other states). To provide continuity for our customers and benefit from its favorable reputation and widespread name recognition, the corporation continues to use Consultix as a DBA ("doing business as") name for its software training activities.
